Holly & Russell's Getaway Destination Wedding at beautiful Yasawa Island Resort & Spa
With a tropical depression to the North West and Cyclone Ula threatening from the East, and after hours of waiting at the airport and many cancelled flights, I was finally able to fly out to what was meant to be our last wedding of 2015. However, thanks to the weather, it had become not only mine but quite possibly Fiji's very first wedding of the year on New Year's Day 2016.
Holly and Russell had flown in from the States earlier that week and seemed totally unfazed by our tropical weather. They were soon off hiking with me in tow up to the lookout point where I got to see for the first time the incredible raw beauty of this little Fijian island and realised why Holly and Russell were so relaxed. If you're getting married in heaven it really doesn’t matter when you say 'I Do'!
For me personally, this was a great experience and I couldn't have chosen a better couple or location to start off the 2016 wedding season.

"Laurence and Elanie helped us plan our wedding photography at Yasawa Is. Resort perfectly! We are in the U.S. and they made our photography work very well with the resort, which was difficult for us because we were so far away. They worked with the resort staff to make our day as special as could be. Laurence spent the day with us prior to our ceremony and captured photos of us on a pre-wedding hike up to the lookout. It was so great being in his company because we really felt as if we got to know about him and the culture of Fiji. When it came time for our ceremony later that afternoon and evening, we felt as if he were a friend; in a foreign country we did not expect to find that!
We had pre-wedding, ceremony and trash the dress photos the second day and Laurence woke us up early on the second day in order to get sunrise photos, swimming photos and much more. He really went over the top. We are SO pleased with our photos and so are our friends and families. They really are photos that are magazine quality and since we were in beautiful Fiji there was no photoshopping necessary for the sunset and beach photos. Laurence really knows how to capture the light, energy and love between a couple. He and Elanie have a great business that is personal, friendly, talented, and professional, and we highly recommend their photography to all!
